I would not touch this company for conveyancing. They are utterly incompetent. I have worked in property finance for a number of years and have never experienced such a lack of understanding of the first time buy process ever. A recent case has taken 5 months to NOT go to completion. This is a 3 year old build on a new estate with over 300 houses, one of the queries was “why are people selling their houses”? The obvious answer is because they are not using the incompetent Kenneth Bush for conveyancing!! The lack of expertise in this field is astonishing PLEASE AVOID USING THIS COMPANY

I would not recommend or ever use them again myself! Used them for the purchase of my house. We found them to be absolutely incompetent. So much so that the people who were buying the house from were threatening to pull out as they believed we were dragging our feet and were trying to find out how much money they would lose to pull out of the sale completely. It was a first house purchase with the owners having no further chain either, it should have been the most simple of house moves. On the day off the exchange we received a phone call from them telling us that they don’t think it will get completed due to paperwork that they had not yet completed. This led to extremely unnecessary stress for the people who we were buying from, one of who was suffering from a medical condition and stated a deterioration in their health due to the incompetence from Emmersons. We paid full price for a qualified solicitor and instead received a trainee who was incompetent and clearly had minimal supervision. If we knew we were only going to have the services of a trainee we would have gone else where, for the same or even less cost. Every single document that we received contained some form of error from simple typos to getting names wrong and even genders. We even received official documents with corrections then made in pen, completely unprofessional in my opinion. I had to point out to them on at least 4 occasions that names were spelt incorrectly, even though they obviously had copies of our ID. They lacked the professional competence to even have out of office responses set up, to actually notify you that they are away on holiday and therefore wont read your emails till they get back. Sent a letter of complaint and never even got a response, shows how much they value customer service and feedback.

I would not recommend these solicitors they only want the money whether it is legal aid or money paid young newly trained soliciyors working on cases that should be dealt by a solicitor who has years of experience to fight your client is the most important even if your client is guilty you as his solicitor must fight prove his innocence.Plz think before you use them
