I would rate 0 stars if i could! Absolutely awful firm who i had to go to the legal ombudsman about… i finally got some money back and a small amount of compensation however they still didnt have the decency to actually acknowledge their wrong doings and apologise properly!Problems i had with this firm include:Ignoring calls and emails or taking messages and never getting back to me. This went on for weeksCompleting court documents to the point where they were unusable in court. They still charged for the document however and would not refund the costNot completing documents on time despite me chasing them for weeks. Finally they replied to me, once i complained, post the document’s deadline to say they hadnt completed it as i hadnt paid the fee. The money was in my account ready to go from day 1 but at no point did they tell me that i needed to pay upfront. If this was the case i would have paid it straight away. The next day i received a letter dated about 6 weeks prior asking for the payment. I asked the firm about this as to me it appeared that they were trying to cover their backs. The firm brushed past it and said they didnt know anything about it and that there was no way to trace the letter’s actual send date.Leaving it 2 working days before hearings to tell me that they had nobody to represent me. This happened a few times and happened after i had been asking for weeks who was going to represent me.Arriving at hearings about an hour late, brushing aside my concerns, appearing not to know anything about my case, not reading vital reports like cafcass reports and giving really poor uninformed advice… i actually went against my own solicitors advice at one point and it was lucky that i had the guts to as my solicitor was ready to give my daughter’s dangerous father unsupervised contact depsite not even reading the cafcass report! The court judges were really shocked by this! Generally this firm caused me so much hassle and stress. They nearly lost me my case and potentially could have jeopardised my daughter’s safety and welfare. Luckily i went to another local firm who were great! They helped me win my case and protect my daughter with no problems!!!
