Do not use this firm of solicitors. My case is currently being handle by them and i am having the worst experience possible. Abby Pearson and Simon Bramwell are both incompetent and lazy. All other reviews saying this firm is good are complete lies.

do not use this company i went to try and get shared care with my son as me and the ex fell out, i was told there was no chance i would not get it if i went with them after about 4 months and 3,000 it eventually ended up in court, shazana then told me i would be better off with a barrister at the last minute, that cost me another 1,000 and guess what i still never got shared care i only managed to get what i originally had 2 expensive and no results stay clear!!!

do not use this company, i recently had a bill of these unfortunately i had fraud going on in my personal account so i was unable to get money out of my bank account. i contacted them via phone and was transferred to the receptionist, all i can say is wow i have never been spoken to so badly in my life. i was told the lady i had to speak to had left for the day the receptionist then turned round to me and said well you better call back tomorrow or you will be getting a ccj, i was so shocked i then asked for the lady’s name and she hung up on me. i then called back to speak to a manager and was told i would get a call back the next morning at 9:30. just had a call from credit control no manager and she wudn’t let me speak at all all she did was go on and on. they have not even listened to what the woman said to me sorry but a professional solicitors should not go on like that! there attitude is appalling. solicitors are supposed to be professional this company is by far the worst i have ever dealt with. i am going to contact trading standards and the newspapers this morning about them i would advise every1 to use another firm not this terrible company.

Do not use them. You have been warned. They are unresponsive and never deliver on anything on time. Even when they get any paperwork completed, I feel like my 5 year old nephew would have done a better job. Forms were returned for me to sign without anything filled in. My name was spelled wrong on the documents. I am now taking on additional financial lose due to their delay.Edit: The partners of the firm has taken over for the non-responsive individual. We are now making progress to getting everything completed.

DO NOT USE THESE SOLICITORS.I am in the process of selling a property in Ipswich to a willing buyer who is using Michael Smith & Co.Following telephone reminders from both my solicitor and the estate agent my solicitor received an email on 16th October from Michael Smith which read “Thank you for your letters of 19th and 25th September. We shall now review the documents and revert to you shortly with our enquiries.” So only after reminders and at least 21 days have they decided that they might deal with the matter “shortly”. Its a disgrace. My solicitor Rachel Watson at Birketts takes more like 21 minutes to respond.Chose your solicitor carefully but do not chose Michael Smith & Co.
