AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! If I could give this firm no stars I would. I have never used such an awful firm. The owner is a wide boy known locally as “Dagenham Dave” because of his unprofessional and poor manner as well as his love of cutting corners. There is no customer care and they over charge and basically sit on your money. They also do not follow (most importantly) Law Society rules. I cannot stress enough how awful this firm is and they should not be in business although the writing is on the wall for this place!

Avoid at all cost! The first thing they look at it is your bank statement. I have been engaged with them for over an year and it is a shame that the only thing they care for the money. I have had bills (GBP 16.5 + tax) for a 2 line emails sent and they have charged me for 10 min just to write those 2 lines. Seriously, for that money you can just travel to my place and communicate it in person, by taking a cab. Shame on them for treating their customers like this. To top it all, despite of me requesting them to add a very key document to the bundle they failed to do that and I had to show it from my mobile to the judge, who was king enough to take that proof. If you really dont know what to do with your money, please use them. Trust me, towards the end, you will feel like you could actually stuck a deal with your case opponent by paying that amount of money. If anyone is looking for a proof, feel free to reach out to me, I have loads. They had a call with me to tell me why they charge this way and guess what, I ended up paying for that call too. The solicitor turned up to the court for no reason as I had a barrister and guess what he charged me for coming to the court. If as a solicitor you dont have work, pls dont make up some work and charge the client. You really need to be taught on treating your clients! I read another review with the same comments and response from the firm saying that they are going to revise their charging, well that was a year back and still these people have not done that. There is another easier word to describe someone who takes money like this and that is what would actually fit them the most!
Avoid at all
Avoid at all costs! Writing wills that are way too complicated for the estate in order to drag it out to get more money in fees. Dont communicate to the clients, everything is so dragged out and all nicey nice until you are on their books and no customer service or politeness or kindness is shown! How Katherine Turners a solicitor ill never know, appauling service given!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!We instructed Direction Law at the beginning of January when we had our offer accepted on a flat. The seller of the flat moved out at the end of February and we were renting on a rolling contract basis so the flat was empty and we had no chain either side. The purchase process took 7 months. The solicitor we were originally lumbered with was completely incapable from the beginning and did nothing on our case for 3 months (told to me by another one of Direction’s solicitor) and what she’d done before that was the bare minimum. The emails I received from her were horrifically rude and she had a go at me for emailing every Friday to ask for an update (which I don’t think is excessive when buying a property and you’ve been given a 6-8 week time frame). She also made unfair accusations around the integrity of our seller with no reason, shouted at me down the phone and told me at the end of June that she hadn’t even looked at our mortgage offer. I made a formal complaint against her at the beginning of May after she sent me the paperwork for someone else’s property purchase with sensitive information on (names, addresses, DOBs etc) which I chased up regularly and never got a response. After the phone call in June we ended up with a new solicitor who completed our purchase in 6 weeks – the timeframe we were given back in January when we appointed them.

Avoid at all costs conveyancing department grossly incompetent ! Both partners knew of ongoing issues and did little to help. Two different Heads of conveyancing used as the first one left abruptly, not sure who was the most clueless.Do your research thoroughly ,as with all conveyancers they get paid no matter what service they offer .I have made an official complaint but fail how to see that can be impartial given both partners knew of numerous issues and did NOTHING !!
