Did not meet my solicitor once during house purchase and on day of exchange and completion, the receptionist rang me to inform me that everything had gone through – I thought this was very unprofessional of my solicitor given the amount of money I had paid and she could not ring me to say it had all been processed. Was an extremely anxious and stressful time and it was either myself, mortgage advisor or estate agents chasing my solicitor through the whole process.
