If there was a zero start rating I would be giving that! What should have been a very simple straightforward process, which should have completed very quickly, for the sale of my Mother in Law’s house was very slow due to the buyer using this solicitor. Draft contract was sent to Mr Gallagher mid December – yet it took him TWO MONTHS just to raise enquiries!!! AVOID!!
If there was
If there was an option to chose a negative star rating…I would have chosen this option. My advice….if you found the house of your dreams but Ross Coates were the only solicitor on this planet available to do the conveyancing…then stay put as without doubt they would disappoint and you would end up losing your dream property. They say moving house is one of the most stressful things you do in life…’one of the’ this is inaccurate, as deleing with Ross Coates would make this the MOST stressful thing you could ever do…even if you are fortunate enough to live into your 90’s. I may sound bitter…but Ross Coates are inept…they lie, misrepresent their services…tempt you in with a low price…then once you have paid your deposit…start adding incremental costs to their estimate. The final straw was being advise by the Help To Buy Midlands authority they had been ‘suspended’ from this programme and if our application was to be processed we would have to change solicitors. All this after 5 weeks of being messed about….when from day one their quote included a charge to manage my sons Help To Buy application….disgraceful. Only one positive….Tanya Hatton, Client Care Manager at Ross Coates…she does care…she does do what she says she’s going to do…she helped me and my son through and eventually out of the nightmare of my dealings with Ross Coates….if only I had read Google reviews prior to paying my deposit.
