Used Jarmans now for nearly a year. My opinion is split. What initially started out as a superb relationship has currently turned into quite a fractured relationship due to how invoices are received and also paid, with no real effort from the firm to try and improve the relationship. They seem to forget that relationships have problems and ups and downs but with Jarmans it seems once you have a an issue thats the end to any sort of positive relationship.Instead of trying to repair relationships and being the voice of reason the senior partner is pretty bullish and unhelpful which never used to be the case… pretty disappointing when you think they should excel at dispute resolution although he now says he doesn’t get involved in clients. Getting responses to emails can be delayed usually with further chases needed before a response is given – this is an area I’d say Jarmans should really focus on. I’m not sure if its caused by the solicitors workloads or not.I’ve worked with numerous solicitors and Jarmans tends to want payment on demand in general rather than providing real terms like most other firms if you go overdue at all, they are pretty bullish. Will see what the next few months are like and then update my reviews if any improvements are noticed.
