We instructed Robinsons on monday with the purchase of our first house because the price they quoted us was cheap and the reviews online were good. But the experience I have just had with them has been poor, 5 days after instructing we have had to cancel with them. The quote they initially gave us was brilliant, we called them up to check if there was any extra cost in which they said an extra £12 would be added for a lawyer check. We was emailed all the details and breakdown of cost yesterday and it ended up being £90 more expensive than the initial quote, not only that they had added their fees up wrong and had added and extra £30 from no where. I called Robinsons this morning to resolve this and their telephone manner wasn’t very friendly, they had told me that they had mistakenly charged me an extra £30 for the searches and that they can’t change them so we could cancel if we wanted to. Safe to say I wouldn’t recommend them from the experience I have had.
